Job summary

LSA Recruit seeks a Senior Data Engineer to drive the HDL implementation and ensure historical storage of financial and risk data. You will bridge Finance domains with centralized DWH teams and other engineers to support FINREP/COREP reporting.

You will develop test data, uphold quality standards, and mentor team members while collaborating with stakeholders across platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Data Warehouses, ETL and data modelling.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and DevOps.
• HBO or university-level education in Business Informatics or comparable.
• Experience in banking/financial services sector.
• Knowledge of information management.
• Experience with regulatory reporting such as FINREP/COREP is desirable.
• Experience with bitemporal data modelling is advantageous.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Job description

The Senior Data Engineer will work on the implementation of a Historical Data Layer (HDL), a strategic programme focused on storing financial and risk data in a fully historical manner.

The data platform will support regulatory reporting such as FINREP and COREP. The role acts as a key link between the Finance domain, Data Warehouse teams and other engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and manage the complete data chain, from source systems through to regulatory reporting.
• Connect the Finance domain with centralised DWH teams and other engineers.
• Develop test cases and mock-up data for unit testing in collaboration with the business.
• Maintain development standards and product quality together with other senior engineers.
• Coach team members and take a leading role within and outside the team.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience with Data Warehouses, ETL processes and data modelling.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and DevOps.
• HBO or university-level education in Business Informatics or a comparable discipline.
• Experience within the banking or financial services sector.
• Knowledge of information management.
• Experience with regulatory reporting such as FINREP/COREP is highly desirable.
• Experience with bitemporal data modelling would be an advantage.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
