Job summary

All Your BI is a remote-first data agency based in Rotterdam. We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to build and own Azure data platforms for client accounts, including SQL Server and Databricks, with end-to-end pipelines.

You’ll design scalable data models, applying Kimball dimensional modelling, and push back on requirements when needed to deliver real value for clients across Europe. The role emphasizes impact, communication, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Attitude: honest and constructive, able to challenge ideas kindly with a solution in hand.
• Experience: 5+ years as a Senior Data Engineer in scalable data platforms.
• Azure data engineering: hands-on with Azure stack (SQL Server, Databricks).
• Data modelling: Kimball dimensional modelling is second nature.
• Impact over output: focus on business impact, not just code.
• Communication: explain complex ideas clearly to teammates and clients.
• Track record: demonstrated real delivery in prior roles.
• Nice to have: IT education, software engineering basics, data experience in logistics/industrial domains, Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and own the Azure data platforms our client accounts run on (SQL Server, Databricks) and end-to-end pipelines.
• Design maintainable data models and apply Kimball dimensional modelling where appropriate.
• Challenge requirements when they don’t add up and offer better alternatives.
• Turn messy data problems into understandable solutions for clients and teams.
• Consider how work changes client outcomes, not just the ticket.
