Job summary

ING Bank is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for the WBAA Discovery team in Amsterdam. You will turn ambiguous business questions into practical analytics solutions, focusing on AI opportunities and rapid prototyping.

You will frame problems with stakeholders, explore data feasibility, develop PoCs, and deliver recommendations with clear handover packages for ING’s Wholesale Banking teams, embracing a start-up mindset within a regulated bank.

Qualifications

• Strong Python programming proficiency.
• Data engineering: scalable pipelines (Spark/Airflow), medallion architecture, data quality frameworks (GE, Pydantic).
• AI integration with LLMs (Gemini, Claude), RAG, prompts, vector databases.

Responsibilities

• Frame business problems and clarify requirements with stakeholders.
• Explore data and assess technical feasibility.
• Develop rapid PoCs and prototypes.
