Job summary

Selby Jennings is partnering with a client building a new technology platform in Eindhoven to hire a Senior Data & API Integration Engineer. The role focuses on owning critical integrations, data flows and platform capabilities, working closely with technical and business stakeholders to shape the foundations of the business.

The successful candidate will design and build REST APIs, data pipelines and SaaS integrations in a fast-moving environment, emphasizing impact and ownership over hierarchy.

Job description

The client is building a new technology platform from the ground up and is looking for a Senior Data & API Integration Engineer to help shape the foundations of the business. This is not a role for someone who wants a narrowly defined set of responsibilities. It is for an engineer who enjoys ownership, taking initiative, and solving problems in an environment where impact matters more than hierarchy.

You will play a key role in designing and building critical integrations, data flows, and platform capabilities while working closely with technical and business stakeholders. The right person will be excited by the opportunity to help build something from an early stage and influence both the technology and the direction of the company.

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in API Integration, Data Engineering, Backend Engineering or Platform Engineering
• Strong experience building and supporting REST APIs
• Experience integrating SaaS platforms, financial systems, payment providers or data vendors
• Experience with cloud platforms
• Experience working with event-driven architectures, messaging systems or streaming technologies
• Strong understanding of system reliability and operational excellence
• Experience in a scale-up, startup or rapidly growing technology company is highly preferred
• Dutch language knowledge is preferred
