Job summary

Miele X is seeking a Senior Data & AI Engineer to join a team building and expanding a scalable data platform supporting Miele’s e-commerce domain. You will own key platform areas, develop ELT pipelines, and integrate diverse data sources via APIs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering or a comparable technical role.
• Strong hands-on proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing and data modelling.
• Experience designing and delivering ELT pipelines and data integrations.
• Hands-on experience with coding agents and AI-assisted development.
• Experience taking ownership of technical architecture and engineering standards.
• Experience working with Analysts and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Ability to guide other engineers and share knowledge.
• Ambition to grow in AI engineering and apply emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the data platform architecture and deliver ELT pipelines.
• Shape AI and agent capabilities and lead adoption of AI-native practices across data engineering.
• Build applications and define the architecture for automation workflows.
• Translate business needs into pragmatic technical solutions with stakeholders.
• Define technical standards and lead architectural decisions to improve solution quality.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge across the team.
• Keep abreast of AI, data engineering and software development developments and translate them into practical improvements.
