Job summary

The Council of Europe is recruiting a Senior IT Officer – Data and Artificial Intelligence to lead data and AI initiatives in the RD4U project based in The Hague, Netherlands. You will design pilots, advance AI-enabled workflows and ensure secure, compliant data handling.

You will collaborate with IT colleagues to manage data, evaluate AI outputs, and build dashboards for monitoring operations, costs and adoption.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, AI solution implementation.
• Proficient in Python for data processing, prototyping, automation and analytics workflows.
• Experience with structured and semi-structured data, APIs, data pipelines and databases (MongoDB/SQL).
• Excellent English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, test and run pilots for data and AI use cases.
• Support AI-enabled workflows for claims processing, including data enrichment and classification.
• Co-own data structures and integration patterns for RD4U systems including MongoDB workflows.
• Develop and maintain evaluation and QA workflows for AI outputs.
• Build and maintain dashboards to monitor claims-processing workflows, AI output quality, and costs.
• Monitor Azure-deployed AI services, track usage, costs and incidents.
• Act as internal technical counterpart for external data/AI providers.
• Support users in understanding and using AI-assisted workflows with human oversight.
• Embed privacy-by-design and secure data handling across data and AI workflows.
