Job summary

Finom is seeking a Credit Risk Manager to design and lead the risk framework for SME credit products, including cards and overdrafts. You will work closely with Product, ML/DS, Operations, and Engineering to establish risk foundations and scale across multiple European markets.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in credit risk with hands-on underwriting and model development experience, plus a proactive, AI-driven mindset to improve decisioning and governance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in credit risk, with SME lending and credit cards experience.
• Experience with automated underwriting and risk models in fintech.
• STEM/quantitative degree is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and build Finom's Credit Risk engine, aiming for best-in-class performance.
• Own end-to-end credit risk framework for cards: eligibility, underwriting, scoring, limits, risk appetite, monitoring, reporting.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to embed risk into product design from day one.
• Architect data strategy across multi-country data sources and signals; guide ML/DS on scoring models.
• Build and own portfolio monitoring stack and early warning indicators.
• Act as 2LoD, ensuring robust origination, monitoring, and collections processes.
• Maintain and improve credit risk policies, risk appetite, and reporting.
• Ensure alignment with EMI/PS4 regulatory requirements and European standards.
