Job summary

Finom is hiring a Credit Risk Manager / Lead to build and lead the credit risk framework for our SME Credit Cards product. You will own the end-to-end risk architecture, including underwriting, scoring, limits, monitoring, and reporting, while guiding data strategy and collaborating with Product, ML/DS, Operations, and Engineering across Europe.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of experience in credit risk
• Experience with SME lending and credit cards
• Experience with automated underwriting and risk models
• Strong knowledge of risk governance, policies, and processes
• AI-native mindset and ability to leverage AI tools
• Unit-economics focus and risk-adjusted margin understanding
• Ability to align diverse stakeholders across functions
• Analytical, structured and pragmatic approach

Responsibilities

• Oversee, build, improve Finom’s Credit Risk engine and analytics framework
• Own end-to-end credit risk framework for credit cards
• Partner with Product and Engineering to embed risk into product design
• Architect data strategy across multiple data sources and signals
• Build and own portfolio monitoring stack
• Design and calibrate early warning indicators and credit monitoring
• Act as Second Line of Defense (2LoD) for origination, monitoring and collections
• Own and improve credit risk policies, appetite frameworks and reporting
• Ensure alignment with EMI/PS4 regulatory requirements and European standards
