EY’s Amsterdam office seeks a Senior Treasury Consultant to join the Finance Advisory team. You’ll work on multidisciplinary treasury topics for large corporates and financial institutions, focusing on TMS implementations and risk management.

You’ll partner with colleagues globally, guide junior staff, and lead initiatives driving treasury technology adoption across diverse client environments, with a strong emphasis on deliverables and impact.

Join our dynamic Treasury team within EY’s Finance Advisory practice and become part of a team that focuses on the multidisciplinary aspects of the Treasury function for large (listed) corporates and financial institutions. Our team covers a wide range of disciplines, including cash management, services around financial instruments and valuations, treasury processes and control optimization, (hedge) accounting assessments, and treasury management system implementations.

At this moment, we are specifically recruiting for a Senior Treasury Consultant with 3+ years of relevant experience, ideally gained within consulting or a comparable advisory environment.

Your new team | About your colleagues and the office

Our competency team is committed to achieving the highest standards of treasury and financial risk management, hedging of interest rate, FX rate and commodity risk risks, cash management, financial instruments services, and accounting implications of the CFO’s treasury operations. Clients include large corporates, financial institutions and (governmental) authorities. We focus on various aspects of treasury and financial risk management and help our clients navigate through highly dynamic environments to manage their treasury function effectively and efficiently by addressing a wide range of challenges daily.

With the increasing variety of market dynamics impacting our clients, there are ample opportunities to specialize in areas such as cash management, financial instruments, treasury management system implementation, treasury process and control optimization, and financial reporting. We appreciate candidates with a passion for financial markets, financial risk management, treasury operating models and interest in the financial reporting implications of the treasury function. The agility to also specialize in other domains of treasury and financial risk management is appreciated, considering the anticipated volatility of client demand and the CFO’s agenda.

Responsibilities – How can you make a lasting impact in a rapidly changing world?

• Build and nurture relationships with key client contacts, thereby acting as a true trusted advisor helping them to address their biggest challenges.
• Develop and guide (junior) team members, thereby strengthen the craftmanship and headcount of the competency team over time.
• Drive (go-to-market) campaigns on treasury topics but with a specific focus on Technology and Treasury Management systems (TMS) implementations, thereby positioning yourself as go-to person for the topic at hand towards both colleagues and client contacts.
• Contribute to a better working world advising clients on the implementation of treasury and financial risk management strategies with specific focus on technology and TMS implementations, including specific treasury-related domains of the CFO’s daily agenda.
• Doing project-based work in a team to advise clients on topics such as cash management, hedging of interest rate, FX rate and commodity price risks, optimizing treasury processes and controls, implementing treasury technology, managing financial instruments and valuations, and (hedge) accounting implications of treasury operations.
• Stay abreast of market dynamics and industry trends to provide informed advice to large corporate clients and financial institutions.
• Working across multiple projects with diverse EY teams and various client contacts.
• Combining various skills, both technical and qualitative, including executive presentation, storytelling, writing skills, project management and working with various cultures and backgrounds.

Your skills and strengths | About your unique contribution

• At least 3-5 years of prior working experience focused on TMS implementations and process optimization, with exposure to leading TMS such as FIS Quantum, FIS integrity, Kyriba and/ or SAP. You are fluent in English and ideally Dutch, both verbal and in writing.
• You are technically strong, process-driven, and people-oriented.
• You have Excel skills and preferably also (light) programming skills on some TMS systems.
• You have an international mind‑set and are very open to work with different cultures.
• You have a proven track‑record in the Dutch market, either as a consultant or the industry.
