Job summary

Rud Pedersen’s Amsterdam office is seeking an experienced Public Affairs Partner to manage existing client accounts and lead growth for corporate clients in energy, environment, healthcare and technology. You will develop strategic public affairs programmes and collaborate with our European teams to maximise impact.

Responsibilities include expanding the client portfolio, leading proposals and pitches, coaching staff, and setting budgets.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years’ experience in public affairs within a Dutch context.
• Experience in a Public Affairs consultancy or equivalent inhouse/industry association role.
• Significant network of national policymakers and stakeholders in the Netherlands.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.

Our growing Amsterdam office is seeking to expand its team focusing on corporate clients in the fields of energy, environment, healthcare and technology.

As part of its strategic growth plans, we are seeking an experienced consultant to manage existing client accounts, and to lead the growth and development of new business, and develop and lead a motivated team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and developing a portfolio of clients in relevant sectors.
• Leading client programmes that integrate a full range of public affairs and communications strategies in the Netherlands in collaboration with our other offices across Europe.
• Creating and developing innovative client service offerings.
• Leading on new business proposals and pitches, and leading support teams.
• Actively engaging with colleagues across the group to develop and implement marketing strategies within the sector.
• Professional development and coaching of existing staff and identifying and engaging new talent as required.
• Setting and managing budgets to effectively support client projects.

What we are looking for:

• In the region of 5 to 7 years’ experience of public affairs developed within a Dutch context.
• Experience gained within a Public Affairs consultancy or an equivalent inhouse or industry association role.
• A deep presence in the Dutch public affairs market.
• A significant network of national policy makers and stakeholders.
• Sound commercial acumen and ability to identify a business opportunity.
• Leadership skills together with the ability to inspire and develop people.
• A collaborative and caring approach to working with colleagues in the Netherlands and across the company.
• An inquisitive nature with a desire for learning and innovative practices.
• A high level of motivation and drive for excellence.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
