Job summary

Mondu is expanding its Legal & Compliance team in Amsterdam. The Senior Compliance Officer will own the regulatory framework underpinning our EMI/PI license and act as a trusted advisor to leadership on compliance risk.

You will manage DNB relations and oversee governance, policies, and internal controls to support fast growth across Europe. You’ll partner with Product and Commercial teams, assess risks for new products and markets, and explore AI-enabled compliance workflows to scale the

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of Dutch and EU regulatory frameworks governing payments and e-money institutions.
• Experience managing relationships with regulators or supervisory authorities.
• Strong policy drafting and governance documentation skills.
• Ability to advise executives on compliance risk in a fast-growth setting.
• Experience with AI and automation in compliance workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the regulatory compliance framework in line with EMI/PI license conditions and EU/Dutch rules.
• Primary relationship holder with De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) and other authorities.
• Advise senior leadership on compliance risk from new products, markets, or partnerships.
• Draft and maintain compliance policies, governance docs, and internal controls.
• Conduct risk assessments and gap analyses ahead of audits or market entries.
• Support governance processes and compliance reporting to the Board.
• Advise Product and Commercial teams during contracts and new launches.
• Embed AI and automation into compliance workflows for scaling.
