Job summary

Medline Europe is seeking a System Engineer to maintain and enhance our cloud infrastructure across Europe, focusing on AKS, Terraform IaC, and CI/CD pipelines. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable infra supporting business-critical applications.

The role requires hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and cloud-native platforms, and offers hybrid work in Utrecht as part of our IT department.

Qualifications

• In-depth container-based infrastructure on AKS or on-prem Kubernetes.
• 5+ years in system engineering, infra or cloud engineering roles.
• Extensive Terraform and IaC experience.
• Familiar with version control tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, GitLab, Bitbucket.
• Proficient in Microsoft Azure and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience building mission-critical infrastructure for business apps.
• Excellent troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience with Windows and Linux servers.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes, Helm, registries, ingress, networking, storage, deployments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve EU AKS and Kubernetes infrastructure for scalability and reliability.
• Participate in cloud, infrastructure, Kubernetes, and DevOps design sessions.
• Proactively resolve incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to deliver secure, scalable environments.
• Advance CI/CD pipelines, Helm charts, and GitOps practices.
• Support deployments and troubleshooting for Kubernetes-based apps.
• Contribute to platform lifecycle activities: upgrades, patches, monitoring, automation.
