Job summary

Augmedit is building cloud-based augmented reality software for surgeons, transforming medical imaging into interactive 3D models for operating room use. The Senior Cloud Software Engineer will own the backend and cloud platform, shaping technical direction while delivering secure, scalable solutions in a regulated healthcare context.

You’ll collaborate with the CTO, product, and clinical specialists to ensure reliability, security, and compliance as the platform evolves, including AI

Qualifications

• Strong, senior-level C# across services and functions.
• Entity Framework and solid data / database design (SQL).
• Hands-on Azure experience - owning cloud resources end-to-end.
• Ability to own a backend system end-to-end and defend decisions.
• Experience in regulated or safety-critical environments (SaMD IEC 62304 / ISO13485) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the C# services and data layer interactions with the frontend.
• Define infrastructure-as-code and deployment strategies securing the platform.
• Maintain a strong security posture in a regulated domain.
• Raise engineering standards for testability and maintainability.
• Guide architecture decisions and ensure scalable, compliant backend design.
• Mentor teammates and promote knowledge sharing across the team.
