Job summary

Rabobank seeks a hands‑on senior infrastructure and network engineer to own and evolve the Analytics Platform’s architecture for thousands of users. You will design Azure networking, set up VNets/DNS/IP planning, and drive governance via policy‑as‑code while building scalable, compliant environments.

You will mentor juniors, automate everything, and collaborate with an international team to deliver enterprise‑grade analytics infrastructure for data scientists bank‑wide.

Qualifications

• Azure networking at scale; deep hands‑on experience with VNets, DNS, IP planning and topology.
• Infrastructure‑as‑code with state discipline; familiarity with Pulumi, Terraform or Bicep.
• Governance and policy‑as‑code; designing guardrails, least‑privilege identity, and secure‑by‑default automation.
• Ownership; ability to lead smaller initiatives end‑to‑end with 1–2 engineers.
• Delivery fundamentals; CI/CD with AzureDevOps and AzurePipelines; proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or C#.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve the platform’s network topology and set‑ups in Azure and later AWS.
• Turn team requests into running environments via infrastructure‑as‑code to smooth onboarding.
• Create abstractions, golden paths, and guardrails to enable fast, safe development.
• Train juniors and other teams in utilizing and extending the platform.
• Work in a scrum setting and remove compliance issues and vulnerabilities.
