Job summary

Eye Security in the Netherlands seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to strengthen cloud foundations, empowering teams to build, deploy, and operate software solutions. You will design scalable AWS infrastructure, lead IaC practices with Terraform, and champion automation, observability, and cost controls.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or related fields, with significant AWS experience.
• Strong expertise in AWS, IaC with Terraform, GitOps, CI/CD, and observability.
• Experience authoring reusable Terraform modules for teams with versioning and release practices.
• Ability to write production code in Go, Python, or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience building and shipping a non-trivial agent or LLM-backed workflow.
• Ability to discuss tool decisions, context/state, evaluation, failure handling, autonomy, cost and latency, deployment, and operation.
• Strong security practices, least-privilege design, secure coding principles.
• Proven initiative, problem solving in ambiguous environments.
• Ability to break down complex problems into practical solutions and prioritize impact.
• Analytical mindset with technical and product awareness.
• Experience in a startup/scale-up environment and adapting to fast-changing needs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
• Fluency in English is a must.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, resilient, and secure AWS infrastructure.
• Lead Infrastructure-as-Code practices using Terraform with reusable modules.
• Create deployment patterns, workload identity, access controls, and guardrails for production.
• Evolve monitoring and observability using Grafana and Sentry with distributed tracing.
• Evaluate non-deterministic behaviour and catch regressions pre/post deployment.
• Improve automation, pipelines, reliability, performance, and reduce technical debt.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and share knowledge through docs and reviews.
• Communicate trade-offs, timelines, and priorities with product and engineering teams.
• Balance multiple priorities in a fast-changing scale-up environment.
