Job summary

Lely Holding is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design and develop Azure-focused cloud platforms enabling global operations for employees and customers. You will translate business needs into scalable cloud solutions, automate deployments, and collaborate with architects, security specialists, and DevOps teams to ensure secure, reliable services across the world.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Azure certification at associate level (AZ-104) or equivalent knowledge.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation, and CI/CD practices.

Your work helps shape the digital foundation behind Lely's global operations. As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you design and develop cloud platforms that enable innovation, connect international teams, and support business-critical services used by employees and customers around the world.

Imagine building cloud solutions that not only support today's applications but also create the foundation for tomorrow's digital services. In this role, you combine technical expertise with practical execution, helping teams adopt cloud technologies that are secure, scalable, and ready for future growth.

You work closely with architects, developers, security specialists, suppliers, and operational teams. One day, you may be discussing platform architecture and cloud strategy. The next, you are helping a DevOps team automate deployments or advising stakeholders on how to strengthen security and performance. You enjoy turning complex technical challenges into practical solutions that create value across the business.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Design, implement, and continuously improve secure and scalable cloud platforms, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Translate business and technical requirements into cloud solutions that are reliable, manageable, and ready to support Lely's international growth.
• Automate infrastructure and deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code and modern DevOps practices.
• Support development and DevOps teams in successfully adopting and operationalizing cloud solutions.
• Safeguard the security, compliance, availability, performance, and continuity of cloud environments while continuously identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Contribute to cloud strategy, technical standards, and the cloud roadmap, while helping colleagues grow their expertise through coaching and knowledge sharing.

As one of the senior members of the cloud team, you play an important role in shaping the future of Lely's cloud landscape. Your expertise helps strengthen the reliability, security, and scalability of the platforms that support colleagues and customers worldwide.

You combine technical depth with a practical mindset. You enjoy solving complex cloud challenges, collaborating with a variety of stakeholders, and helping others grow. Most importantly, you understand how to translate architectural ideas into reliable solutions that deliver real business value.

To be successful in this role, you bring:

• HBO working and thinking level.
• At least 5 years of experience working with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Relevant Microsoft Azure certification at associate level, preferably Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), or demonstrable equivalent knowledge.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation, and CI/CD practices.
• Knowledge of DevOps principles and the operational management of cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of cloud security, governance, monitoring, availability, and continuity.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for addressing complex cloud challenges.
• The ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have:

• Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400), Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500), or similar advanced certifications.
• Experience coaching colleagues and sharing knowledge within a cloud engineering team.
• Experience working in an international organization.
