Job summary

Wypoon Technologies’ Data Chapter in Amsterdam is seeking a Data Engineer to design and implement scalable, cloud-based data platforms across Azure, GCP, and hybrid environments.

You will build real-time and batch pipelines using Python, SQL, Apache Airflow, and dbt, embracing modern lakehouse architectures to deliver value for industries like finance, ecommerce, energy, and logistics. Join a collaborative team that values quality, testing, and end-to-end ownership.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of data engineering experience in fast-paced environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL.
• Experience with Apache Airflow or similar workflow orchestration tools.
• Experience with dbt or similar data transformation tools.
• GCP is preferred; Azure or AWS experience is also considered.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling and architecture design.
• Experience with data analysis libraries like Polars or Pandas.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows.
• Develop cloud-based data solutions, primarily in GCP, with modern architectures.
• Design technical architectures translating business and product needs into scalable solutions.
• Develop clean, maintainable, and testable code with strong testing practices.
• Collaborate with product, data, engineering, and business stakeholders.
• Take ownership of solutions while contributing to team improvements.
