Job summary

Wypoon Technologies’ Data Chapter in Amsterdam is seeking a Data Engineer to design and implement scalable, cloud-based data platforms across Azure, GCP, and hybrid environments.

You will build real-time and batch pipelines using Python, SQL, Apache Airflow, and dbt, embracing modern lakehouse architectures to deliver value for industries like finance, ecommerce, energy, and logistics. Join a collaborative team that values quality, testing, and end-to-end ownership.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of data engineering experience in fast-paced environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL.
• Experience with Apache Airflow or similar workflow orchestration tools.
• Experience with dbt or similar data transformation tools.
• GCP is preferred; Azure or AWS experience is also considered.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling and architecture design.
• Experience with data analysis libraries like Polars or Pandas.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows using Python, SQL, Airflow, and dbt.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of Data Engineering experience in complex, fast-paced environments.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Python and SQL.
• Strong experience with Apache Airflow or similar workflow orchestration tools.
• Experience with dbt or similar data transformation and modeling tools.
• Experience with GCP is preferred; strong Azure or AWS experience is also considered.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, data transformation, and architecture design.
• Experience building clean, maintainable, production-grade code with appropriate testing strategies.
• Experience with data analysis workflows using Polars, Pandas, or similar libraries.
• Strong ability to translate business and product requirements into technical designs.
• Comfortable with context switching, independent ownership, stakeholder collaboration, and working in a product‑oriented environment.
