Job summary

Red Hat Consulting in the Netherlands seeks a Senior Cloud Consultant to lead on-site delivery and implementation of open source cloud solutions for defense customers. You will study infrastructure and business needs, delivering tailored recommendations and technical solutions.

You will work closely with customers, design architectures, manage deployments, and drive adoption of OpenShift, Kubernetes, and related platforms, with travel up to 25-50%.

Qualifications

• Extensive Linux system administration and performance tuning experience.
• Hands-on with OpenShift and Kubernetes in enterprise environments.
• Strong background in large-scale cloud implementations and cost/benefit impact.
• Experience with virtualization technologies in enterprise settings.
• Proficiency with automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; English and Dutch required.
• Willingness to travel 25–50%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site subject matter expert addressing technical and IT requirements.
• Lead system architecture design, software specs, testing and deployment.
• Recommend and implement open source solutions to business challenges.
• Continuously learn and apply new Red Hat technologies.
• Respond to incidents, escalations, and critical issues.
• Provide clear, actionable recommendations aligned with Red Hat technologies.
