Job summary

Red Hat Consulting Services in the Netherlands seeks a Senior Architect to join on-site as a subject matter expert in Red Hat infrastructure and cloud tech. You will lead on-site delivery, architect solutions, and guide customers on best practices for reliability, scalability, and high-availability.

You’ll upskill with Red Hat University, collaborate with consulting teams, and respond to incidents and client needs while travel is required as project demands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience/rh certifications.
• 5+ years experience in a consulting role or similar.
• Experience/knowledge of infrastructure and cloud technologies (virtualization/containers).
• Foundational awareness of modern application development and SDLC.
• Good customer-facing skills; ability to present to customers and guide interactions.
• Knowledge of Red Hat infrastructure solutions (Satellite, V虚 etc) or alternatives like Kubernetes/Chef/Puppet.

Responsibilities

• Upskill knowledge in Red Hat technologies via Red Hat University and team support.
• Serve as SME at customer site, addressing technical, developmental, or strategic IT needs.
• Manage architecture definition, software specification & design, testing, and deployment of open source solutions.

The Red Hat Consulting Services team is looking for a Senior Architect to join us in the Netherlands. In this role, you will work at the customer site as a subject matter expert in Red Hat's infrastructure and cloud technology. You'll answer questions about best practices across topics such as reliability, scalability, maintainability, high availability, and failover setups, as well as lead the on-site delivery and implementation of Red Hat's technology. As a Senior Architect, you will gain understanding of customer infrastructures and business issues and make recommendations appropriate to their environments. What you will do:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field of study, or alternatively, equivalent work experience and/or industry recognised certifications (particularly RH certifications)
• 5 + years experience working in a consulting role, or similar
• Experience or knowledge of infrastructure and cloud technologies - e.g. enterprise use of virtualization or containers
• Foundational awareness of modern application development practices and the software delivery life cycle
• Good customer-facing skills; ability to present to customers and guide customer interactions
• Knowledge of one or more of Red Hat's infrastructure solutions like Red Hat Satellite, Red Hat Virtualization, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform or Red Hat Ansible Tower, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, or Red Hat OpenShift would be great - but we would also consider people with K8 / Chef / Puppet experience etc
• RedHatCertifiedArchitect(RHCA)certificationisaplus, and/or RedHatCertifiedEngineer(RHCE)certification, or the willingness to gain this certification in the early stages of your career with RedHat
• Willingness to travel according to project needs
• Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch strongly preferred Dutch or EU citizenship
