Arup in the Netherlands seeks a Senior Civil Site Development Engineer to lead design and coordination of complex site development projects from feasibility through construction. The role offers direct client engagement and opportunities to mentor junior colleagues and advance digital workflows.

You will work across roads, drainage, earthworks, water networks and utilities, coordinating with architecture, structures, MEP and environmental teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–10 years of civil engineering experience, leading work packages or smaller projects.
• Strong site infrastructure design capability: drainage, storms, roads, earthworks, water/wastewater, utility coordination.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; experience with hydraulic modelling tools such as InfoDrainage is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with chartership or progression toward a professional qualification.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary designs and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsabilités

• Lead civil engineering assessments, designs, work packages and smaller projects for complex site development programmes.
• Develop roads, parking, grading, earthworks, drainage and utility solutions using Civil 3D, AutoCAD and related tools.
• Prepare design calculations, reports, specifications and drawings, and support quality reviews and permitting activities.
• Coordinate integrated solutions with clients, authorities and multidisciplinary teams including architecture, structures, MEP, landscape and environmental specialists.
• Support project delivery through client meetings, coordination workshops, site visits and construction inspections, while mentoring graduate and early career engineers.
