Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior C++ Engineer based in the Netherlands to enhance high-performance desktop software for healthcare applications. You will work on modern C++ components with a security-first mindset, addressing vulnerabilities and optimizing multithreaded performance.

Join a team collaborating with architecture, QA, and product groups, using AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate analysis and development. Remote within Europe with occasional onsite in Germany.

Qualifications

• Senior C++ Engineer with high-performance, multithreaded desktop apps.
• Modern C++ development practices and advanced software engineering.
• Security, multithreading, and debugging expertise.
• Build systems and toolchains incl. CMake, Conan, MSVC.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving focus on software quality.
• Fluent English; German a plus.
• Eligible to work from EU/EEA/UK/Switzerland.
• Familiarity with AI coding agents is preferred.
• Experience with IT security standards or regulated environments is an advantage.
• Healthcare/regulatory industry experience is beneficial.
• University degree in CS/Math/Physics/EE or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance modern C++ components for high-performance desktop apps with focus on stability and security.
• Analyze architecture against security specs to identify, remediate, and prevent vulnerabilities.
• Investigate complex issues; perform advanced multithreading analysis to optimize performance.
• Collaborate with architects, QA, product managers and other stakeholders for robust delivery.
• Apply structured debugging and code-analysis to identify root causes and durable fixes.
• Leverage AI coding agents and automation to accelerate analysis and development.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in engineering practices, quality, security, and efficiency.
