Karl Lagerfeld is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to drive business performance through data-led insights and strategic analysis. The role partners with Commercial, Finance, Product, Supply Chain and Operations teams to identify opportunities to accelerate revenue growth and improve profitability.

The role combines strong analysis with commercial judgment and requires the confidence to influence stakeholders and drive measurable business impact in a hybrid Amsterdam setting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in business analytics or similar data-driven roles.
• Proficient in translating data into actionable insights for commercial decisions.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas).
• Experience with BI tools (Qlik Sense) is a plus.

The Senior Business Analyst is a commercially focused business partner who plays a key role in driving business performance through data-led insights, strategic analysis and actionable recommendations. Working across functions, markets and channels, the role identifies opportunities to accelerate revenue growth, improve profitability and support informed commercial decision-making.

This is a hands-on position that combines strong analysis with commercial understanding. This role requires strong commercial judgement, curiosity and the confidence to challenge assumptions, influence stakeholders and proactively identify opportunities that drive measurable business impact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Performance analysis & commercial insight

• Proactively identify and quantify commercial growth opportunities, working with relevant stakeholders to translate insights into measurable business actions.
• Analyze business performance across sales, profitability, operations, products, channels, markets, and customers.
• Identify key drivers, trends, risks and opportunities impacting business results.

Planning, Forecasting & Performance Management

• Support forecasting, budgeting, latest estimates and long-range planning and provide commercially relevant insights and recommendations.
• Monitor performance against financial budgets, forecasts and prior year results, identifying gaps, risks and opportunities, and recommend actions where required.
• Develop scenario analyses and business cases to support strategic and operational decisions.
• Provide forward-looking visibility on potential performance outcomes and business risks.
• Support financial and operational planning through data-driven insights.

Reporting, Data & Business Intelligence

• Deliver accurate, timely and relevant reporting for management and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain dashboards in Qliksense.
• Improve and automate reporting processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual work.
• Establish and maintain data quality standards, governance and control processes.
• Ensure consistency in KPI definitions, reporting methodologies and performance measurement.
• Drive continuous improvement of reporting and analytical capabilities.

Business Partnering & Decision Support

• Act as a trusted business partner to Commercial, Finance, Product, Supply Chain, Operations and senior leadership teams.
• Build strong relationships across functions and ensure alignment on performance priorities.
• Translate complex information into clear and compelling insights and actionable priorities for senior stakeholders.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
• Support cross functional strategic initiatives and business transformation projects through analytical expertise and commercial judgement.

THE PROFILE

• 7+ years of experience in business analytics, commercial analytics or a similar data-driven role
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Advanced Excel skills (including complex formulas, pivot tables)
• Experience with BI tools (e.g. Qlik Sense) is a plus
• Solid understanding of commercial performance metrics, including sales, margin, inventory and profitability
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
• Structured and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
• Proactive, hands-on, and comfortable operating in a dynamic, data-driven environment
• Fluent in English (written and verbal)
