Job summary

DataSnipper seeks a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Identity & Access Management (IAM) team. You will design and build core platform systems powering authentication, authorization, and access across the product, while shaping the architecture and enabling other teams to build on top of it.

You will own architecture decisions for backend services, collaborate across teams to enable identity flows, and ensure reliability, performance, and security. On-call rotation is part of the role.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong testing methodologies.
• Strong communication across stakeholders.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices.
• Experience with system design and architecture.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with container services (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience in Identity & Access Management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and build core platform systems for authentication, authorization, and access across the product.
• Own and drive architecture decisions for backend systems.
• Collaborate across teams to enable identity and access flows on the platform.
• Ensure high reliability, performance, and security of services.
• Turn ambiguous problems into structured technical solutions.
• Communicate decisions and risks clearly to stakeholders.
• Participate in an on-call rotation (second line after tech support).
