Job summary

DataSnipper is seeking a Mid-level Backend Engineer to join the Identity & Access Management (IAM) team. You will build and maintain core IAM services powering authentication, authorization, and access across our product, delivering reliable, secure backend systems and scalable architecture.

You will collaborate with other backend teams, contribute to system reliability, and participate in an on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of backend development experience with OOP languages (C#, Java, Python, TypeScript, etc.)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
• Experience building scalable systems
• Solid understanding of API development
• Ability to work independently on defined tasks and clearly communicate blockers
• Good amount of experience around testing and various methodologies
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Bias to action and sense of ownership
• Familiarity with microservices architecture
• Exposure to authentication / authorization systems
• Interest in backend security and platform systems
• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
• Experience working in startups or scaleups
• Experience working in platform teams
