Job summary

Advidi is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own backend services end-to-end, including APIs, data flows, and integrations. You will work with product and design teams to shape our platform, applying AI techniques to improve engineering workflows and testing.

Strong ownership and collaboration are essential as you contribute to production readiness and scalable infrastructure. You will leverage Python, Kotlin/Spring Boot, and AWS, while exploring AI-driven tooling to enhance development

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a senior role.
• Strong backend engineering experience, with Python or another relevant language.
• Experience designing and evolving production backend systems (APIs, data models, integrations).
• Practical familiarity with cloud infrastructure and automated deployments.
• Strong fundamentals: system design, readable code, tests, debugging.
• Experience using AI coding tools and agents in real development work.
• Ability to take ownership of ambiguous problems and deliver with quality.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and business logic from requirements to production.
• Collaborate with product, design, and stakeholders to translate needs into technical plans.
• Design APIs, data flows, and integrations with performance and security in mind.
• Contribute to cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, and monitoring.
• Use AI coding tools effectively: define work, context, guide implementation, validate outcomes.
• Improve AI development workflows and ensure repeatable success, with good testing and reviews.
• Work with senior engineers through design discussions, reviews, and pairing.
