Job summary

DataSnipper is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Identity & Access Management team in Amsterdam. You will design and build scalable IAM services, own backend architecture decisions, and work across teams to enable identity and access flows platform-wide.

You will ensure reliability, performance and security while turning ambiguous problems into structured solutions. Strong communication with stakeholders and on-call participation are expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years backend development experience in C#, Java, Python or TypeScript.
• Strong cloud platform experience (AWS or Azure).
• Proven track record building scalable, reliable systems.
• Experience with system design and architecture.
• Excellent communication across stakeholders.
• Bias to action and ownership on complex problems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern practices.
• Proficient with AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience with testing methodologies.

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Identity & Access Management (IAM) team at DataSnipper!

• Own and drive architecture decisions for backend systems
• Work across teams to enable identity and access flows across the platform
• Ensure high reliability, performance, and security
• Handle ambiguous, high-level problems and turn them into structured solutions
• Collaborate with stakeholders and communicate technical decisions and risks clearly
• Participate in an on-call rotation (second line after tech support)

What You Bring

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Identity & Access Management systems
• Strong understanding of security and authorization models
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Familiarity with container services (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience working in platform teams
• Experience working in startups or scaleups
