Heerema is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer for the Digital Enablement Team in Leiden. You will shape the engineering digitalisation roadmap, identify opportunities, and translate challenges into scalable digital solutions that add value across Engineering, Technology and IT & Digital.

You bring hands-on development depth from Python and C++, drive software delivery, and collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to ensure maintainability and architecture alignment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering or computer science.
• Proven ability to develop automation solutions in engineering contexts.
• Strong software development foundation with Python and C++.

Responsibilities

• Shape the engineering digitalisation roadmap and portfolio with clear value.
• Translate business needs into practical digital solution directions.
