Heerema Marine Contractors is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to turn repetitive tasks into scalable digital solutions. You will shape the automation roadmap, scope initiatives and align Engineering, Technology and IT & Digital to deliver high-value outcomes.

Your development background enables you to contribute hands‑on when needed and ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable and aligned with Heerema’s digital landscape.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in engineering or computer science is required.
Strong understanding of engineering workflows and automation opportunities.
Ability to challenge requirements and align stakeholders.
Experience translating engineering needs into practical solutions.

Responsibilities

Shape the engineering digitalisation roadmap and portfolio.
Scope digitalisation opportunities and translate needs into solution directions.
Align engineering, technology and IT & Digital stakeholders.
Support architecture, security, platform and lifecycle standards.
Validate solutions with end users and drive adoption.
Guide engineers and citizen developers in turning ideas into sustainable solutions.
Contribute hands-on when needed to challenge design decisions.
