As a Senior Associate ESG Assurance you will audit ESG information at clients, mainly focused on CSRD assurance, and help PwC’s entire audit practice grow while developing yourself as a true ESG specialist.

Job Description & Summary

With our expertise we want to make the world a bit more sustainable. You will be part of a committed core team of sustainability auditors, working closely with the wider ESG Reporting team to audit CSRD reporting for major clients and support audit teams for other clients.

What will you be doing?

As a Senior Associate (RA) you will audit CSRD and other ESG reporting of large, listed companies. These projects have tight deadlines and require methodologically strong choices. You will be part of the assurance team under a manager’s supervision, conduct client interviews as an ESG specialist and perform smaller engagements such as workshops and CSRD readiness assessments.

Your main responsibilities

• Work together in a team to develop, plan and implement an assurance plan for corporate ESG information.
• Review CSRD reporting/ESG information at companies, for example KPI’s such as carbon emissions or safety incidents.
• Develop yourself on ESG reporting guidelines such as CSRD/ESRS, EU Taxonomy and GHG Protocol.
• Present and make recommendations on ESG reporting related questions with colleagues.
• Perform smaller other engagements for our clients, such as workshops and CSRD readiness assessments.

• A master’s degree.
• A post‑master’s Registered Accountancy course (started or completed).
• 3+ years of relevant working experience.
• Affinity with sustainability and ESG reporting and assurance thereof.
• Experience in performing audit work independently and coaching less experienced team members.
• Fluency in both English and Dutch.
