Job summary

Red Hat B.V. in the Netherlands is seeking a Senior Architect to join RedHat Consulting Services.

You will work onsite at customer sites as a subject matter expert in Red Hat infrastructure and cloud technology, advising on reliability, scalability, maintainability, and high availability. You will lead on-site delivery and implementation of Red Hat solutions, understand customer needs, and deliver cost-effective, strategic recommendations across environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience/certifications (RH)
• 5+ years experience in a consulting role or similar
• Experience with infrastructure and cloud technologies (virtualization/containers)
• Knowledge of modern software delivery life cycle and DevOps practices
• Strong customer-facing skills and ability to present to customers

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site delivery and implementation of Red Hat solutions
• Provide expert guidance on architecture, reliability, scalability and high availability
• Identify problems, define system architecture, and oversee software design and deployment
• Upskill team knowledge through RedHat University and consulting support

The RedHat Consulting Services team is looking for a Senior Architect to join us in the Netherlands. In this role, you will work at the customer site as a subject matter expert in RedHat’s infrastructure and cloud technology. You'll answer questions about best practices across topics such as reliability, scalability, maintainability, high availability, and failover setups, as well as lead the on-site delivery and implementation of RedHat's technology. As a Senior Architect, you will gain understanding of customer infrastructures and business issues and make recommendations appropriate to their environments. What you will do:

• Upskill knowledge in RedHat technologies using RedHat University and support from the wider consulting team to apply these concepts to customer needs
• Serve as a subject matter expert at the customer site, addressing technical, developmental, or strategic IT needs
• Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, and deployment of open source solutions
• Learn about new technologies and apply these concepts to customer needs
• Adapt to changing customer requirements
• Respond to incidents, escalations, and exceptions in a professional manner

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field of study, or alternatively, equivalent work experience and/or industry recognised certifications (particularly RH certifications)
• 5 + years experience working in a consulting role, or similar
• Experience or knowledge of infrastructure and cloud technologies - e.g. enterprise use of virtualization or containers
• Foundational awareness of modern application development practices and the software delivery life cycle
• Good customer-facing skills; ability to present to customers and guide customer interactions
• Knowledge of one or more of RedHat's infrastructure solutions like RedHat Satellite, RedHat Virtualization, RedHat Ansible Automation Platform or RedHat Ansible Tower, RedHat OpenStack Platform, or RedHat OpenShift would be great - but we would also consider people with K8 / Chef / Puppet experience etc
• RedHat Certified Architect (RHCA) certification is a plus, and/or RedHat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification, or the willingness to gain this certification in the early stages of your career with RedHat
• Willingness to travel according to project needs
• Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch strongly preferred
• Dutch or EU citizenship
