Job summary

Fairphone is seeking a Software Engineer to lead the integration of partner software into our Android ecosystem. You will architect and implement integration layers, work with ODMs, and ensure high-quality, scalable solutions that align with Fairphone's sustainability goals.

You will manage timelines, vendor relationships, and cross-functional delivery, while driving open-source contributions and ensuring compliance with internal quality standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in Android ecosystem development.
• Proficient in C/C++, Java, Kotlin; Rust optional.
• Experience leading technical partnerships and ODMs.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration of partner-specific components in Android stack.
• Guide partners to integrate solutions in OSS and production code.
• Manage timelines, vendor relations, and cross-functional delivery.
• Own technical docs for partner integration projects.
