Alignerr is seeking Senior Software Engineers for remote work, spanning Amsterdam and the Netherlands. You will design, build, and scale infrastructure powering AI products used globally. The role emphasizes autonomy, clean scalable code, and collaboration with ML researchers and product teams.

Applicants should have 5+ years of experience, strong backend skills, and cloud proficiency. This is a fully remote, flexible hourly contract with 20–40 hours per week and ongoing project opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in at least one modern language: Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Go, Java or similar.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns and system design principles.
• Experience building and deploying backend services, APIs or data‑intensive apps.
• Comfortable with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerized environments.
• Familiar with Git, CI/CD workflows and modern development tooling.
• Strong debugging and problem‑solving skills; ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Excellent written communication; async collaboration.
• Self‑directed and reliable with minimal supervision.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and maintain production‑grade software systems for AI pipelines.
• Write clean, well‑tested, and performant code in Python/TypeScript or other modern languages.
• Build and optimize APIs, data pipelines, and backend services at scale.
• Architect solutions balancing speed and long‑term maintainability.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems and cloud infra.
• Collaborate asynchronously with ML researchers, engineers, and product managers.
• Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
• Work independently on well‑scoped projects with ownership and autonomy.
