Job summary

Vacaturebank in the Netherlands is seeking an experienced AI Engineer, Sr 1, to design, develop, and optimize AI-powered solutions. You will work on production-ready systems using LLMs, modern cloud technologies, and agentic workflows to deliver scalable experiences.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, own key components, deploy models on GPU infrastructure, and ensure security and reliability. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with Hugging Face Transformers, Python back-end

Qualifications

• Strong experience in AI engineering with LLMs.
• Hands-on with open-source frameworks such as Hugging Face Transformers.
• Experience deploying AI models on GPU infrastructure.
• Proficient in Python backend development for AI services and APIs.
• Knowledge of tool calling, retrieval and streaming patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize AI-powered solutions for production.
• Integrate and deploy LLMs within secure private cloud environments.
• Build scalable Python back-end services supporting AI-driven interactions.
• Design agentic AI workflows with tool integrations and context management.
• Optimize model performance, latency, and reliability on GPU infrastructure.
