Job summary

Altura is building the first agentic AI Virtual Bid Manager in Amsterdam, seeking a Senior AI Engineer to lead agentic workflows on top of a proprietary knowledge graph. You’ll ship production-grade AI capabilities with a strong emphasis on reliability, observability, and cost efficiency.

You’ll work in a fast-moving, collaborative team using Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot and more, with ownership and influence over end-to-end feature delivery and architectural direction.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in AI/ML software engineering with multiple production launches.
• Strong fundamentals in system design, testing, reliability and APIs.
• Proven experience with LLM patterns, context engineering and embeddings.
• Hands-on evaluation and monitoring for model and system quality in production.
• Comfort operating in Azure, containers, CI/CD and observability.
• Excellent cross-functional communication to translate ambiguity into plans.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver an agentic layer and a context graph enabling automation across customer knowledge bases.
• Drive architecture and delivery of production LLM/GenAI systems with multi-model strategies.
• Define and implement evaluation: offline/online metrics, gold sets, A/B tests.
• Operationalize LLMOps: deployment patterns, observability, incident response, cost optimization.
• Build guardrails for prompts, data handling and access control; ensure data safety.
• Establish engineering standards and reusable libraries to accelerate teams.
• Mentor engineers and align teams on outcomes and timelines.
