Job summary

IFS is seeking an experienced backend AI platform engineer to build the intelligence behind user experiences, including session and memory models, retrieval across documents, and multi-step agent workflows.

You will implement retrieval/grounding, document intelligence, and agentic runtimes for multi-tenant environments, with a focus on low latency, secure data handling, and scalable AI-native solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience with S2S integration using technologies like n8n, Temporal, MuleSoft, Apache Camel or Boomi.
• Proficient in Go and Python in production backends.
• Experience building multi-tenant SaaS solutions.
• Experience scaling AI-native products and GenAI solutions.
• Experience with production-grade GenAI, including RAG pipelines and agent orchestration features.
• Familiarity with MCP development and plan-based agentic software.
• DevOps and cloud-native infra incl. Docker, Kubernetes, CNCF, and CI/CD.
• Experience with API gateways and API products (Kong or Tyk).
• Desire to adopt new technologies and stay current with GenAI advances.

Responsibilities

• Build the intelligence behind the experience: session/memory model and retrieval across estate and documents.
• Develop session/context spine: persistence, resumption, hand-over with intact reasoning trail.
• Implement retrieval/grounding across structured records and documents with cost and latency considerations.
• Create document intelligence over manuals, drawings, directives and contracts with citability.
• Design agentic flow runtime for multi-step work with tool usage and human-in-the-loop rules.
• Handle speech and images as first-class input alongside text.
• Develop the evaluation harness as the gate for autonomy claims.
• Build language interfaces over scheduling and optimization engines for customer terms.
• Collaborate with security to ensure prompt injection resistance, data handling, guardrails and residency.
