Job summary

Thoughtworks in Amsterdam seeks an Agentic AI Principal to lead senior client engagements across the DACH region, shaping enterprise AI strategy and production-grade architectures. You will mentor teams, drive governance, and partner with product and data leads to deliver measurable business outcomes.

You will balance rapid experimentation with robust engineering, while navigating EU regulations and data sovereignty concerns in healthcare and life sciences.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in modern software engineering and Python.
• Leadership in GenAI/agentic AI at enterprise scale.
• Experience with agentic architectures, tool use and multi-agent coordination.
• Strong governance, safeguards and responsible AI knowledge.
• Experience engaging C-suite buyers and leading complex deals.
• Familiarity with EU AI Act, GDPR and healthcare/life sciences regulation.

Responsibilities

• Shape and solution complex German, Dutch and DACH pursuits with leadership, translating client needs into propositions and architectures.
• Independently drive complex pursuits with technical and executive stakeholders, shaping the commercial model and risks.
• Act as sparring partner to C-suite buyers: frame business-outcome hypotheses and define value-delivering slices.
• Lead AI maturity assessments and connect architecture to measurable business ROI.
• Represent Thoughtworks’ agentic AI expertise in client conversations, forums and partnerships.
• Design and lead production-grade agentic AI systems, with emphasis on data quality, memory, orchestration and enterprise integration.
• Guide governance, observability and safeguard patterns for safe production use.
