Job summary

DLL is seeking a General Ledger Accountant for Corporate Accounting based in Eindhoven. The role focuses on the group accounting team, handling the general ledger and month-end close, cost and tax accounting, fixed assets and lease assets, with collaboration across analysts, tax, AP/AR, and other DLL teams.

The ideal candidate will think in end-to-end processes, manage exceptions, and work proactively with stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and timely close.

Qualifications

• Ability to think in end-to-end processes rather than transactional steps.
• Ability to identify and address exceptions in processes.
• IT and data savviness.
• Fluent in English and preferably in Dutch as well.
• Communication skills, ability to interact with the broader stakeholder group.
• Proactive and eager to learn.

In our head office in Eindhoven, we have an accounting team that is responsible for the accounting of the holding entities, which includes De Lage Landen International B.V. For this team, we are looking for a general ledger accountant to strengthen our existing accounting team.

Day To Day

• Working within the Group Accounting team on the following processes:
  • General ledger, including month end close
  • Cost accounting, together with Cost Control
  • Tax accounting, together with Group Tax
  • Fixed assets
  • Lease assets
• Working with:
  • Our financial analysts as well as the Group Reporting team
  • Our Group Tax Team
  • Our central AP/AR Team
  • Our Cost Control Team
  • The Accounting teams of the DLL county organizations
• Taking responsibility for the processes above, including stakeholder management, identification and remediation of exceptions and monitoring open items
• Root-cause analysis, active follow-up with other stakeholders/departments, solution proposals and implementation
• Liaising with stakeholders on urgent requests and one-off items; working with other departments on the end-to-end process as well as items that fall outside the norms / standards
• Liaising with Group Procurement and the Central Ap/AR Team on the overall process and accounting of payables (including OPEX/CAPEX, prepayment, cost accounting)
• Performing the month-end close process for the General Ledger, key reconciliations, multi-period accounting and the reporting towards Group Reporting
• Together with the Intercompany Agent performing the intercompany process, including invoicing, monthly tuning / reconciliation and initiating settlement open balances with other parties.
