Job summary

JBT Marel in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee financial reporting for our legal entities and ensure timely, accurate information in line with US GAAP. You will collaborate with Financial Control, Business Control and Shared Services across the organization.

You will perform month-end close, post journal entries, reconcile GL accounts, and support audits, while helping to improve processes and controls in a global, inclusive team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, finance, business economics, or related field.
• Experience from a similar role, or from auditing.
• Solid understanding of accounting processes and financial reporting.
• Comfortable working with ERP systems and financial data.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls (SOX a plus).
• Knowledge of local accounting and tax regulations.
• Clear and professional English communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate month-end close in line with US GAAP and Marel guidelines.
• Prepare local financial statements and tax reporting.
• Prepare and post journal entries including accruals, deferrals, reclassifications, and intercompany entries.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and perform account analyses.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, controls, and local regulations.
• Contribute to improvements in financial processes and reporting quality.
• Manage audits (group and statutory).
