Job summary

JBT Marel in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, seeks a Senior Accountant to own the financial reporting of our legal entities and ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial information across the organization.

You will perform a US GAAP close, prepare local statements, post journal entries, reconcile ledgers, and support audits. The role involves working with ERP systems and SOX controls and offers a hybrid environment and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, finance, business economics, or a related field.
• Experience in a similar role or in auditing is preferred.
• Solid understanding of accounting processes and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and financial data.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls (SOX a plus).
• Knowledge of local accounting and tax regulations.
• Clear, professional English communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate month-end close per US GAAP and JBT Marel guidelines.
• Prepare local financial statements and tax-related reporting.
• Post journal entries, accruals, deferrals, reclassifications, and intercompany entries.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and perform account analyses.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, controls, and regulations.
• Contribute to improvements in financial processes and reporting quality.
• Manage audits (group, statutory, etc.).
