Job summary

ORTEC is seeking a Security Engineer to design, implement, and continuously improve security controls across our global environment. You will work with IT, Cloud Operations, Development, and business stakeholders to detect threats, manage vulnerabilities, respond to incidents, and drive security improvements.

Qualifications

• Background in System Administration or Cloud/Infrastructure engineering.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Conditional Access or endpoint management is valued.
• Ability to balance security requirements with business needs; proactive and independent.

Responsibilities

• Protect ORTEC's networks, endpoints, cloud platforms, systems, and applications from cybersecurity threats.
• Implement and maintain security controls and tooling across ORTEC's global environment.
• Monitor security events and investigate threats using XDR and monitoring platforms.
• Drive vulnerability management through scanning, testing, and remediation activities.
• Collaborate with IT, Cloud Operations, Development and stakeholders to improve security posture.
