Job summary

Unit4 is seeking a Security Operations Engineer to join the Global Cloud Operations Team. The role focuses on monitoring cloud environments, analyzing threats, leading incident responses, and maintaining security controls across our infrastructure.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in security monitoring and incident response, with experience in SIEMs, OS hardening, and scripting. The position offers a flexible, potentially hybrid work environment and a global, security-focused team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in security monitoring, analysis and incident response.
• Experience hardening OS and environments/systems.
• Knowledge of security-related group policies and their implementation.
• Familiarity with forensic analysis and incident management tools.
• Experience with SIEM tools and security incident management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple incidents.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor cloud environments for potential security threats.
• Analyze security alerts and logs to identify suspicious activities.
• Lead response efforts during security incidents, including containment and recovery.
• Investigate security breaches and identify root causes.
• Conduct post-incident analysis to suggest improvements.
• Document security incidents and maintain detailed records.
• Handle customer-reported security incidents and proactive detections.
• Follow established security policies and procedures.
• Monitor and maintain security systems such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEMs.
• Implement preventative security measures and stay up-to-date with trends.
