Job summary

Empiric is seeking an experienced Security Engineer / Architect to join the team on a 12-month contract. The role is hybrid, with roughly two days per week onsite near Utrecht, and may vary with meetings and projects.

Fluent Dutch speakers with a Dutch passport are required due to clearance levels. The candidate will work on network security architectures, IAM, PKI/HSM, Linux and container technologies, and resolve complex enterprise security challenges.

Job description

My client is looking for an experienced Security Engineer / Architect to join their team for an initial 12 month contract. This will be working on a hybrid basis, roughly 2 days per week onsite close to Utrecht however this may fluctuate slightly depending on meetings/project situation.

Candidates will need to be fluent Dutch speakers and hold a Dutch passport due to the level of clearance needed.

Required Experience:

• Knowledge of network technologies, preferably at a low level (including TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, TLS, and network protocols).
• Recent experience with or demonstrable affinity for software development and scripting (e.g., Go, Java, or similar programming languages).
• Knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and cryptographic solutions, including Hardware Security Modules (HSMs).
• Experience analyzing and resolving complex technical issues within enterprise environments.
• Understanding of security architectures and the underlying technical components that comprise them.
• Good Linux and container technology skills
