Job summary

NN in The Hague is seeking a Security Architect with an AI focus to shape NN's security architecture and AI security roadmap. You will work with product management and engineering to translate strategy into secure, scalable solutions across cloud platforms.

You bring a Master’s in CS with AI/Cybersecurity, 5+ years in IT architecture, SABSA expertise, and strong Dutch/English communication to advise stakeholders and guide agile teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in CS with focus on AI and Cybersecurity.
• 5+ years IT architecture experience.
• Security architecture background with formal methodologies (SABSA).
• CISSP-ISSAP or CCSP preferred.
• Regulatory, risk and compliance knowledge in data and AI; financial services a plus.
• Experience securing cloud-native and data-driven platforms (Azure/AWS).
• Excellent Dutch and English communication to guide engineers and stakeholders.

As a Security Architect within Group CISO, you are a recognized expert shaping how we secure NN in an increasingly digital and AI-driven world. You drive the development of NN’s AI Security Architecture, ensuring AI adoption is secure, compliant, and scalable, while also contributing to the evolution of our Group Security Architecture and strengthening the architectural foundation of our Cyber Defence domain. Then you can declare the kilometres travelled* Allowances for setting up your home office and for internet use**Who you are*** Master’s degree in Computer Science or comparable with focus on AI and Cybersecurity, and 5 years of working experience in IT architecture* Strong background in security architecture with formal methodologies (e.g. SABSA); certifications such as CISSP‐ISSAP or CCSP are preferred* Solid understanding of regulatory, risk, and compliance requirements impacting data and AI, with experience working in financial services preferred* Ability to define, document, and communicate end‐to‐end security architectures and develop multi-year AI security roadmaps aligned with business strategy* Proven experience in cyber defence architecture, covering monitoring, detection, response, threat intelligence, and automation, with the ability to drive the cyber defence roadmap and support delivery teams* Hands-on experience securing cloud‐native and data‐driven platforms (e.g. Azure/AWS), including identity, data, API, and platform security for AI workloads* Proven experience securing AI/ML systems, including data pipelines, model training and inference, and protection against data leakage, model abuse, and adversarial threats* Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, with proven ability to act as a trusted advisor to senior and C‐level stakeholders and to guide engineers and architects in an agile organization**Who you will work with**As the Security Architect with AI focus, you will be part of the Group CISO Security Architecture team and report to the Enterprise Security Architect. You work closely with Group CISO and central IT teams and the local IT organizations of NN’s business units and countries, ensuring alignment between enterprise‐level strategy and local execution. In this role, you collaborate with fellow architects and actively contribute to architecture boards where key architectural decisions are defined and governed.
