Job summary

ESA seeks a Secure Connectivity Low TRL Technology Development Coordinator in Noordwijk to drive derisking of early-stage technologies across system, space, ground and user terminals. You will manage work packages, budgets, and schedules, coordinating with department offices and industry partners.

Successful candidates will promote industrial engagement, guide technology maturation, and ensure timely delivery aligned with IRIS² timelines and program objectives.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline with 10 years of experience, or a bachelor’s degree with 4 additional years.
• Experience in derisking and validating early-stage technologies (low-TRL).
• Experience in project coordination within the telecommunications domain.
• Strong risk management, scheduling and budget awareness.
• Ability to lead cross-functional technical reviews and negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Act as focal point for ESA-PP derisking activities within the department.
• Coordinate with system, space and ground segment offices for coherent delivery.
• Promote industrial engagement and onboard innovative technology providers.
• Oversee development, maturation, and validation of low-TRL technologies.
• Monitor industrial work for compliance and manage master schedule for maturation.
• Provide regular reports and mitigate technical risks to safeguard timelines.
