Job summary

ISISPACE in Delft, Netherlands, seeks a Software Engineer to own and evolve a central software suite used for satellite system testing and automation.

You will maintain, extend, and automate test workflows, integrating CAN-TS, UART, and I2C interfaces, and you will document and support users while delivering robust, well-tested code. This hands-on role requires strong Python development and teamwork in an energetic space-tech environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of proven Python software development experience.
• Hands-on experience with CAN-TS, UART and I2C protocols.
• Strong English communication skills and teamwork.
• Responsible, proactive, and solution-driven attitude.

Responsibilities

• Enhance and expand the software to support current and next-gen satellite platforms.
• Take ownership of the software, becoming maintainer and product owner.
• Develop automation features to streamline satellite production and testing.
• Support satellite test campaigns and ensure smooth operations.
• Assist internal and external users for optimal software use and troubleshooting.
