Sales Manager – Damen Shiprepair & Conversion

Damen Shiprepair & Conversion (DS&C) is a part of the Damen Shipyards Group, offering a full spectrum of maintenance, repair, conversion and re‑fit works for ships and offshore structures from 11 shipyards worldwide. The role of Sales Manager is based at one of the Dutch repair yards and focuses on the Dutch market.

Key Accountabilities

• Develop and maintain active relationships with existing and potential customers in the Dutch market.
• Achieve commercial objectives and set sales budgets for your market segment.
• Lead contract negotiations and commercial coordination.
• Ensure careful hand‑over of projects to the executing yard, coordinating the entire quotation process.
• Provide relevant market information and developments to management and marketing.
• Represent Damen at trade fairs, events, and client visits.
• Keep the CRM system up to date and report on commercial activities and progress.
• Collaborate closely with Sales Managers in the DS&C sales team.

Skills & Experience

• HBO work and thinking level; preferably a minimum of five years of commercial and/or project experience in the maritime sector.
• Ability to translate customer needs into the appropriate yard and suitable solutions.
• Professional, results‑oriented attitude with strong commercial and networking skills.
• Proactive and willing to take responsibility and initiative.
• Understanding of technical specifications and shipboard work.
• Excellent command of Dutch and English.
• Full‑time availability; no 9‑to‑5 mentality.
