Job summary

Mpac Group in Wijchen, Netherlands, seeks a Sales Application Engineer to translate customer needs into technical packaging solutions and accompany the sales process from concept to proposal. You will work with Area Sales Managers, apply AutoCAD, and coordinate with project teams.

Requires HBO degree, 3 years in technical roles, and fluency in Dutch and English; French/German is a plus. Travel to customer sites may be required.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in a technical, commercial-technical, or technical project lead role, preferably in machine building.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written); French or German is a plus.

Sales Application Engineer

Job Description

As a Sales Application Engineer, you search for technical solutions to complex packaging challenges. As a technical expert, you are involved throughout the entire sales process.

The Role

In this role, you support the Area Sales Manager by providing optimal technical solutions for various packaging issues. You work closely with different technical disciplines and occasionally travel to a customer or site.

Your responsibility is to assess customer requirements, technical possibilities, and price-related boundaries. In this challenging role, you will be involved in:

• Translating customer wishes into clear layouts and accurate calculations, and processing these into complete proposals.
• Guiding and supporting Area Sales Managers during (international) customer visits as the technical expert.
• Successfully transferring the correct information to the project organization for sold projects.
• Translating customer feedback into organizational improvements and contributing to the continuous development of efficient processes.
• Converting technical specifications and requirements into (product) solutions.
• Staying up to date on the latest developments in your field and sharing this knowledge with colleagues.

Requirements — Who Are You?

• You have a completed Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in a technical field, such as Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering & Management.
• You have at least 3 years of experience in a technical, commercial-technical, or technical project lead role, preferably in machine building.
• You have experience with AutoCAD.
• You have excellent to good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of French or German is a significant plus.
• You work well independently but also seek collaboration with colleagues when needed.
