SuperYacht Times is searching for a senior Ruby on Rails developer to strengthen our backend team. You’ll build fast, reliable, and scalable services powering our yacht industry products.

As a Ruby on Rails Developer, you’ll work on our data pipelines with PostgreSQL and Elastic Search, integrate external APIs, and ensure performance on AWS. You’ll collaborate with a remote-first international team and contribute to exciting, high-end projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails development.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, Elastic Search, AWS, Docker and APIs.
• Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken.

SuperYacht Times is looking for an ambitious Ruby-on-Rails developer to strengthen our back‑end team. You’ll work on cool products for the highest‑end industry there is, for the most exclusive customers in the world.

YOUR ROLE

As a Ruby-on-Rails Developer, you’ll work on the back‑end for our cutting‑edge products using Ruby on Rails, Elastic Search and PostgreSQL. You’ll collaborate with a passionate Front‑end and UX team to deliver fast, reliable, and beautifully designed applications that shape the yachting industry.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain our back‑end written in Ruby-on-Rails
• Work on our data pipeline on Postgres and Elastic Search
• Build and optimise API integrations to improve data delivery
• Work closely with designers and front-enders to craft seamless user experiences
• Optimise performance and scalability for a growing user base on AWS
• Contribute ideas and solutions to improve our products

Who You Are

• 5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails development
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, Elastic Search, AWS, Docker and APIs
• Passion for building intuitive, high‑performance back‑end applications
• Great communication skills, and good command (written and spoken) of English
• Self‑motivated, proactive, and eager to learn
• Experience working remotely in a fast‑paced, ambitious team
• A strong team player, with a strong feeling of ownership and responsibility
