Jobgether on behalf of a partner company is seeking an Intermediate Backend Engineer (Ruby) to join a distributed engineering team. You will contribute to CI/CD pipeline authoring tools and help scale features like component catalogs and pipeline composition.

Qualifications

Proven proficiency with Ruby and Ruby on Rails, with testable code.
Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
Familiarity with GraphQL is a plus.
Ability to work in an asynchronous, remote-first team environment.
Strong communication and agile practices.

Responsibilities

Writing high-quality, efficient, and maintainable Ruby on Rails code.
Delivering small features and improvements independently, while collaborating on larger initiatives.
Enhancing performance, security, and scalability of pipeline authoring tools.
Identifying and resolving technical debt to increase team efficiency.
Participating in agile practices such as planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver user-focused solutions.
Contributing to code reviews, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across the team.
Taking part in Tier 2 on-call rotations to address urgent engineering issues.
